A sign of the times...?

On Monday I went to my local poolhall for some One Pocket with whoever shows up, and as I was going through the door I noticed a small sign that read: "Open Sunday at 6pm". I had to look twice because for the past ten years that I know of, this poolroom's hours have been from 11am to close (around 2am), seven days a week.
I've also noticed that business during the lunch hour hasn't been as brisk as it once was, and this particular poolroom has allways had an excellent menu with great food.
Could the sign I saw on the door be a sign of the times? How many of you have seen cutbacks, or reduction in services, at your local establishments? :)

I hope you mean 2am closing time..

Yep, rooms are closing left and right! Times are tough for sure!
 
You mean like cheap cloth, 48' house cues with screw on tips, microwave hamburgers, paying for coffee and water, karaoke on league night, and non-existent waitresses? Nah, no changes here.
 
I'm afraid so. Seen it locally here in SC and in NY, Binghamton area, when we were there in March.
 
Nice timing on the post, the room I play in on Tue night has a sign just from this week "Summer hours Sat and Sun 5 pm", used to be 3.
 
The time are not good, and as I stated before in the Valley of the Sun we lost 100 BARS in the last 6 months,most had a Pool Table or Two. The only Tip/Cue Repair guy in the West Valley just called it Quits, his Lathe & Supplies are for sale. He has been at it 15 years.
 
At least they didn't put a sign under that one that said "Free Pool, Sundays, Noon to 6pm!"

Everyone is hurting, one of the pool halls around here cut their size in half. They now have a Subway sandwich shop in half the building.
 
The one nearest me doesn't open till 5 on the weekdays and has a sign posted that they are open on 2 on sunday and saturday, which I have to see happen..

The other pool hall is open 24/7
