maybe it's just me, but it seems like every cue, especially the screwups, have a funny story behind them
this cue in particular does
willie, my helper buddy calls it the "sudacue"
the story is, i have extreme heartburn, live on tums, nexium and all that stuff
long story short is i ran out of some of the over counter stuff i take, zantac
and i THOUGHT i found another pack of it
packaging was the same, i did not read the labeling, couldnt read it anyway without a damn magnifying glass it was so small
so anyways, i take several of them a day, for about two weeks
can't understand why the heartburn isn't subsiding, and why i feel so damn tired and lazy and cant keep my mind on things i should be
was messing up daily it seemed
willie was over here when i was getting that cue all ready to glue up
had everything ready to go, except i needed to cut two more blue veneers
that's when we decided to take a break, grab something to drink
we started watching the olympics, i'm dozing off something terrible
so, guess what, forgot to cut the last two veneers, DUH!!!!
we go out in shop, glue up the cue
and about 6 hours later it hit me i forgot the last two veneers, which would be under the last birdseye butterfly
too late to anything about it now
that's when it hit me that something just wasnt right, the way i was feeling
and that is when i discovered the heartburn meds, weren't zantac
IT WAS SUDAFED
you know, the kind of stuff that says dont operate machinery, dont drink alcohol , may cause drowsiness , etc, etc, etc.
and that's why willie calls it the SUDACUE
that's going to be his break cue by the way
