Among other things, those rules from 1779 say what to do when a ball hanging on the brink drops in by itself.

Nice, now we know what equipment and rules to go back to when JB wants to remove all modern equipment if we take away the jump cue LOL ;)

I'm going to print this out, and when bar players start talking about the rules that I need to hit 4 rails or it's a table scratch or hit this ball or that ball, I will take out these rules and tell them "this is the rules I play by".
 
Surprisingly relevant given happenings at DCC!
