A Update On The Lathe

We were working on 2 issues for the lathe 1 was a shield for the screw and the other is a wiper for the carriage. Hopefully these will be 2 positive upgrades. Here are some pictures of the shield. I am still pondering ideas around for the wiper. Thanks for looking.

My sugestion, although difficult is to come up with a dual system of brushes that would act as both a wiper for the for the lead screw and a shield. I have looked at this in the past for one of my machines in the cabinet side of my buisness. I think the info I got was from a company that make Brooms and brushes. I know many of the companys that make big CNCs for the cabinet industry use a simalar system.
