i always had a few problems with aiming....its like i would "forget" how to aim sometimes.....Im always trying something new....like a contact point....a ghostball....and a fixed aiming system of the ball ie: half ball hit.....quarter ball hit......but a friend...told me about a way he aims....he said he aims at the glare on the ball from the light......what do u guys know and think about this?

im guessing he just uses the glare off the ball as a reference point
oldest "aiming system" there is

I asked Mosconi this question

In the late 60s I was forunate enough to get to see an exhibation by Willie Mosconi. He gave it at a grand opening of a Brunswick store in Nashville Tn. After his exhibation he answered questions from the spectators. I told him that a "road player" came thru my hometown and while playing at the local poolroom he told us that the lights on the balls told you where to aim to pocket the balls. I asked if this was true? He smiled at me and said "son you are going to lose alot of money". This came from one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

This is my favorite post ever regarding the light reflection nonsense.

tried this! it worked!

I shot last night and i tried this.......It worked and know why. It had nothing do with the lights.....It had something to do with focus.....As i stared at the reflections I was focused. And I didnt think about anything as I came down on my shot. THE FOCUS ALONE is what helped me......So as I came down on my shot.....my body automatically was inline with the shot....I wasnt aiming at the relections...but i was LOOKING AT IT....i thought it worked very well as something to FOCUS on nothing else.....I was making balls.....and everything....but i dont think the aim point had anything to do with it...i simply just looked at the spot and forgot about aiming ....and it worked.....
