I am thinking in TCMT inserts, will be good for it?

Olsenview recommended these a year or more ago and I got some. They are without a doubt the best cutters that I have ever used, on wood, in a metal lathe, period. When turning the wood just peals off in long strips like a pencil sharpener. Highly recommended.

I've had no luck with that thing.
I just can't get the setting right.

I modified a tool holder to fit my Deluxe cuesmith and use the TCMT inserts and they are great. They cut like a hot knife through warm butter. I can "peel" when I am facing a piece and it makes the face as smooth as glass. Recommeded !

I also use them. Wouldn't use anything else. Cuts wood, phenolic
and ivory like a knife thru hot butter.
