This Rich cue is a strong player, very stiff hitting and nice and straight. Two shafts, the original is dead straight and the other Rich shaft is not original, but a close match. It has a slight roll but still plays fine. Cue currently has no bumper. Not sure if it came that way new or not. Wrap has a fuzzy feel to it, not sure of the material. Priced to sell for $375.

Why do say that is a rich cue?I have six of his cues and none of them have that joint.I've seen pictures of at leist 20 or 30 of abes and none of them have that joint.I don't think that's one of Abes cues.I've been wrong before i just can't remember when....rick.

?

Was told it was a Rich and I have seen a few with the black ring this one has on the butt. Maybe someone recognizes the joint and we can find out for sure. Have a NY Rich coming next week that is a real beauty.

Heard recently this could be a early Rich cue. Cue did come from South Florida. Decided to keep the cue till the mystery is solved. Don't want to sell it as something it's not. I really like the way this one plays. Hits nice and stiff and is dead straight. If anyone has further info. please let me know. Someone from the Florida area must have seen a few of these cues with this unique joint.

Expert!

Have some info. coming from an expert on Rich cues. Will do a update for those interested when I hear more. Just got a ebony beauty in and will post a picture or two of it to add to the confusion. Thanks again guys!

Rich Cue?

Abe's nephew emailed me to say it could well be a Abe, Star cue. He used many different joints.
Here is a ebony beauty just in. Could be a Saul or Abe cue, also had the thought a possible Palmer, but have not seen it as a standard Palmer model. My vote is for Abe. Cue is dead straight. Will start a new thread on it. It's a all ebony beauty, nice and straight, exceptional condition.

RichQ

Just found out, this is a RichQ out of New York. Similar to model 5N in the bluebook, ebony forearm instead of rosewood points. Cue has the leather wrap upgrade. Books between $600 and $800. Offers considered near the $800 mark at this time.

rich cue

Maybe you should title it a Rich Cue. A Rich cue is not an Abe Rich cue. I think they are different makers.

Update!

The first post here is quite possibly a Rich, Star cue, I'm told by his nephew Howard. Price drop to $350 on it, need to make room for more cues. The ebony cue is definitely a Rich Q from New York. Howard tells me Abe did not have a drill press, so any cues with dots are not Abe's work. Getting a few more Rich Q cues in if anyone is interested. Some will have upgraded shafts, seeing very few that have straight shafts.
