Green or Blue doesn't matter but please don't put 760 cloth on there if you want to ruin your 9 ball game go ahead but, use 860 instead you'll be glad you did.

John

the blue cloth is faster, they use a ramp with a ball on it to test the speed of the cloth and Greg told me the numbers(how many inches the ball rolled) and the blue is right between the 860 and 760, he told me why. At the end of the day he wont make everyone happy, because we all have different preferances but his goal is to please as many players as possible.

As far as bangers are concerned, let'em play on a 9' Diamond perhaps they will want to get better and we'll have new blood in out sport, if they cant stand that they can play on 7' Damonds. Put it this way I wouldnt want to be Valley or Global-they are gonna get drilled by diamond. The Diamond boys are on a mission and wont be stopped, mark their words i'm just the messanger.

Don't forget too that if a beginner likes a Diamond but is only shying away due to the Pro Cut pockets, they can always order the Relaxed Cut pockets. :)

I did play for an hour or two on the GC5, its good...
I was disappointed by 2 things in the GC5.

- The price of GCs has risen, from what I can tell, from $5500 in early 2003 to $8500-$9000 (list) today. That's a lot. Similar to some other Brunswick tables on a % basis. Inflation has been low...
- At the same time, even Brunswick's press release and marketing material on the GC5 can only say they streamlined the ball storage at one end and changed the corner castings. I don't see any real effort to improve the table, if even the marketing guys can find nothing better to say...

I too played on one. And it plays like a GC4. That is not a bad thing, but why not then buy a GC4 cheaper?
