BTW, the suggestion by some that players should be beholden and not offend promoter (or he will pull the event) is nonsense.

^^^ I happen to agree with this 100%, however playing devils advocate I'm sure there are some that would say something to the effect of " but but but, how is pool going to grow with the seedy, (_____ insert adjective or statements here lol ) image that is being portrayed ! !! Then of course some will say about the spectators that payed their good hard earned money to watch him to play and compete. Not to mention he is one of the more outspoken of the players about what is wrong........

So, I guess it's better for the promoter and the game to come out and say something like, "he was too drunk/hungover to play?

Where is Ralph Greenleaf? He would show up drunk and beat your ass.

I've only met 2 pros...Josh Roberts and Jayson Shaw. The former seemed cool and down-to-earth. And John Morra? I've never met him, but from what I've seen of him he appears to be a rather mellow dude.

As I said in my first statement I did in fact agree with it.There is just so much hypocrisy and I was pointing that out. This was not meant to be a dig on VV , if anything it was DA and some posters on here.

Mine wasn't meant as a dig on you, it was a statement in general.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the whole thing.

She is talking about people bad mouthing her and she seems to be the worst of the bunch.
 
Vivian is lying!

I was there for the whole thing. Her opening comment that there were 5,000 people in attendance is pure bullshit. That is a fact.

When you entered you had to go through a metal detector similar to an airport. The guy at the table had a "counter" where he clicked it every time you went through. On average between taking breaks, lunch, dinner, going back to my room, etc... is was in and out of the evert about 5-6 times a day easy. So "I" was counted at least 20 times.

There was at no time more than 100 people in the room in all of the times i was there. Good Grief, the VIP seats were less than 50% filled. The floor seats were about the same and the general admission area was virtually empty.

I can't call fact or fiction on the "he said she" said bullshit but I would tend to not believe her based on what I was told by a few people involved.

Her ranting and name calling was pretty disgusting.

All you had to do was see the picture of SVB playing Kiamco to know that there weren't 50 people in attendance.

Brian, I believe she said she had been told SVB was organizing a players' boycott and when she confronted him, he said that was not so and would do what he could to help the event.

LOL...juxtapose this with the thread started by Mike Howerton about some person willing to invest $500K in the game. Seriously, anyone willing to drop $500K on pool must hate their money. I love the game to play but, IMO, you need your head examined if you consider donating serious money to it. Notice the word donating and not investing. This game is not an investment. Never has been, never will be.
You'd be better off taking that $500K, opening a kick ass pool hall, and running amateur events 5 days a week.

I do not share your view.
Why?

Because, when I look at an ant from my height, he's a little speck running around.
When I grab a 10x magnifying glass and look at him, I can see his eyes, antennae and body separations.
When I look at him through a 100 x's magnification,
there's all kinds of microbial things moving around on this ant, in addition to the definition of his parts being shown.

My point:
Just cause you can't see it, don't mean it don't exist.
Maybe you just haven't had the right tools to see with, (or the right eyes)

We are bigger and better than you think
I have put my money and time where my mouth is.

I have also argued with Mike Sigel about this.
My want is to give you a small ray of hope that you are simply, mistaken.
