ABR Special Report - French Press Conference

Yeah, I just finished listening to the French interview....very interesting.

I'm sure that friends of Shane can confirm some of the details with him, but I think that everyone should listen to this interview.

I'll tell you, I really do believe what French said in the interview.

Yes, the contract was one-sided, but after hearing what French explained about Dennis, I can't say that I blame the guy for trying to protect himself.

Why do I now feel this way? Because the reality was the French was indeed paying for all of Dennis's expenses. Maybe the 50% of all of Dennis's earnings is high and French admitted that this might be the case. But I do believe that Dennis was well aware of what was in the contract.

The fact of the $6500 that Dennis took for DCC, when in fact he had a free ride at DCC says a lot. Including the fact that he never told French that he had a free ride at DCC. And they still haven't given French his $6500 back! The whole Ko match was set up by Dennis and Dennis is the one that had no problem with deceiving the public on what was in the middle, including refusing to refund the stream because the match wasn't as advertised.

It was also clear from the Dennis interview that he is the one that didn't care if the 100k match was for the full amount either. I'm really glad that I listened to the interview.

The only thing that French appeared to really mess up on as far as the public is concerned is to not have included what he would need to provide to Dennis in the contract. But you know what, it appears that French was paying everything one would expect to give to Dennis, and even more. So I'll cut him some slack on the crazy contract.

Thanks for those that put the interview together.

This was why I made mention of this in the other thread...wouldn't all this go along a little more with the way we've seen Dennis act in the past? I would believe French in this situation before I would Dennis.

He says Dennis won't bet his own.....out of one side of his mouth.

Out of the other side he tells us Dennis was putting up $25,000 of the $50,000.

Can we get Manny (Steinway) on the show next? How about Dave Coles? Let's just play out this whole courtroom drama on the radio, one episode at a time...LOL.

No, he said that Dennis was going to get 10k from French as a talent fee, and also 5k from the door monies. So Dennis didn't want to put 10k of his own money in the middle and risk it. And I believe it. 15k given to Dennis, so only 10k Dennis had to put up -- and he wouldn't do it.

This was the main reason that the match didn't happen.

"Shane will bet his own money".....

Um.....you mean the $10,000 you fronted him?

Unbelievable.

I die laughing at people who would buy the crap coming out of French's mouth. Trust me no party involved here is 100% innocent but French sure is the farthest from it.

Dude. You really don't get it. French went out of his way to front Shane 10k to get the match to happen, plus 5k of door monies. But Shane and Mars were still going to come up with the other 35k. Someone can ask Shane how much of the 35k he was going to take.

I think we all know that Shane bets his own from his prior history of big money matches.

Do you proof think?

You know, as I listen to this saga unfold on ABR, it would not be surprising to me if we started seeing a crackdown of these so-called big money matches by law enforcement agencies. It's now becoming clear to me why gaming commissions are involved with events and wagers like this.

Do you proof think?

I guess I have to spell it out to you in math:

Dennis's 25k = 10k fee + 15k extra (5k to be given back in door money). So Dennis only risks 10k. He wouldn't risk 10k of his own money. Simple.

French said he was putting the other 25k to make the 50k.

I see John Sword has already called him out on a couple of lies from his interview when his name was mentioned. Keep thinking French is up to par.... laughable

Everyone is obviously trying to make deals where they won't lose their shirt. If he didn't say something that was true, let's hear it. Hearing French's side clears up a lot of questions that I had that didn't make sense, including the 10k check to Shane that French confirmed that Shane returned.

Tell you what....you give me money to bet with....and we'll call it mine.

LMAO

The interview became a joke when they had French backed into the corner about him accepting all the accolades for putting the Dennis/Ko match together....live on the stream....yet.....he said he had nothing to do with it.

He would not answer the question about why he accepted all the accolades.

They tried to tie him down....but did not follow through.

And the bullshit began.....and never stopped.

I'll give you that one. Everyone has an ego though. But also, some of the accolades were for the next 100k match that he WAS setting up. To me, that is a very minor part of this whole saga.

Can we get the name of the lawyer or law firm that French paid to draw up the "contract" ?

So how much money has he been paid by pool players?

How many shows does he have on ESPN?

He's being interviewed because he's considered the Wal Mart version of Kevin Trudeau.

If you look up "work of a dummy" right there up front will be this entire situation.

Last time I checked Wallmart is still in buisness and Kevin is where ?

I would not be so quick to sell French short because other people have failed to put on matches and failed to keep doing so
