Mr. Bond, I have a question. I've wanted to ask each week, but didn't want to be nit picker. Well, I can't help myself any longer....

Why, oh why, do you use the stereo seperation effect during Mikes segments? I listen to the show using headphones, and its distracting. I'm not looking for Pink Floyd flashbacks

Seriously, is there any specific reason for it? Some weeks I try to listen to the show in the same room with other people, and want to keep one ear uncovered to be able to respond.

I really enjoy the show. This stereo trick wont stop me from listening, I'm just curious. It really sticks out.

Funny stuff dub...to be honest it tweeks my brain as well because I'm a fiend when it comes to the ear goggles. (I'm sure I own at least 20 pairs) Mike must be recording each piece of his audio on a separate track is all I can guesstimate...I never really asked him why....

If its easier for him to do that, I won't ask him to stop, but we can indeed convert his segment to a mono track if it will keep you (and me) from chewing yer fingertips off. I'll ask him what's up with that.

As someone who also owns many professional-style headphones, which ones do you like the best?

Between Bose (around-ear old version), Sony Stereo MDR7506, and my Beats Solo (not the noise-canceling Beats Studio needing batteries). I'm hooked on Beats. I hear much, much better with Beats Solo. I can hear a musician take a breath between notes. No kidding!

I actually have two Beats Solos today. I'm currently using the blue ones (not pictured). My Beats Studio are purple, and they are more comfortable than the Beats Solo, but I hear better with the Beats Solo.

Out of all the above, the Bose are the most comfortable, bar none. They are lightweight, and I don't even know I have them on my head sometimes when I get up from the computer.

I have used the Sony Stereo MDR style my entire career until I found Beats and Bose. All three are close, but Beats Solo are *the* best. As someone who ears a set of headphones 24/7, I need the best quality to hear crappy audio sometimes. I make a cameo appearance on C-SPAN wearing my blue Beats Solo from time to time.

And the beat goes on [pun intended]. :grin-square:

As someone who also owns many professional-style headphones, which ones do you like the best?

Lately I have been in love with Sennheiser in a bad way....more specifically, my HD380pro's. They're built like a brick outhouse, they fold up nicely, and sound incredible, all for a somewhat reasonable price. Probably a little much for just vocal tracks, but musical heaven for sure!
