In order to be competitive I have been considering losing the packaging on the Accu-Rack System and going to the conventional flat packaging like most templates... The packaging I have been using is a tube with a lanyard top which adds about $4 to the retail pricing... It also requires the product to be shipped in boxes which adds another $1.75 to shipping costs....

If you received one of the samples or purchased them please post your thoughts and whether or not you actually use the tube to carry your templates.....

I'd prefer not to offer both packaging options BTW...

By dropping the tube I can cut the pricing as I have done on the Outsville.com website full sets go from 24 down to 20 and the azbilliards promo code doesn't hurt as bad when it's used for free shipping when no tube is involved....

Keep the tube.

At first I hated it, pain to get open and to cover it but what I've done is put the cap on the bottom(closed end) and store it in the large exterior pocket of my case. Now it's quick easy access to just reach in and pull out the sheet protector with all three racks protected. Never have to worry about folds, creases. Without the tube it would be more likely to get damaged or lost. I also took the stickers off of each rack and stuck them on the tube. Very pleased with the product overall, my only issue is the full rack is difficult to use. By that I mean difficult to keep it flat once some balls are moved. I do prefer it to the Magic Rack due to the fact that it gives a tight rack but not an overly "loaded" rack and it racks easier (not overly sensitive). All in all...Thumbs Up!

Hmmm take a picture of what the 8ball template is doing and send it to me... If it's developed a strange memory you should be able to hit it with an iron and put it back to flat......

I also added single racks to the store so if someone needs a replacement they can order just one w/o tube without breaking the bank... I am seeing about 6months wear time on the 9ball if you use it a ton.. I will assume all 3 headball slots will likely wear in the same fashion but better the template than the table.....

I don't like the tube at all. It's hard to open, even harder to close, and it's a chore getting them all tidily rolled up in that plastic sheet protector they came in. If I start carrying mine around, I think I'll just roll them up in the plastic and put a couple of light rubber bands around the whole bundle.

I won my set in the drawing, but if I was to buy a set I'd opt to save the $4 and get them without the tube.

Thanks for the feedback.. I've heard this way more than the poll is showing...

100 percent lose the tube. pain in the ass to get the cap on and off. I don't like having the rack curled at all because it's a major pain to get all the arms good and flat. definitely not worth the extra cost or shipping. go with one of the ziplock type bags!

Thanks

Just ordered a replacement 9 ball rack for $10. Already have my tube so all I needed was the template. Thanks Chris. I love my Accu-Rack. :D
