I agree. One of my all-time favorite 14.1 videos from Accu-Stats is Mike Sigel vs. Efren Reyes in the 2000 U.S. Open 14.1. Sigel badly misses a break shot, and misses the rack altogether as well (I said it was bad, didn't I?

). The break ball ends up near the side pocket, with the cue ball down low near the side of the rack. Efren can see the break ball, but he can't cut it into the side pocket. Mr. One Pocket himself says, "no problem, I just bank this ball!" and he does so -- with a stiff hit, he cross-sides the break ball, has the cue ball go down table two rails, and into the pack -- resulting in his run continuing.
