Do those "bad position" stats include scratches? Because we gave up quite a few ball in hand shots due to cueball finding a pocket.

Any monkey can see that 27 misses to 18 misses was the deciding factor. We missed 9 more balls they did and in reces to 5 at the "world-class" level one missed opurtunity should lose you the match. I'm sure not every missed ball was vital but when you're playing 9 ball at this level and you re supposed to get out and don't because you simply miss, your opponent will play better, your confidence will plummet, and there's a two game swing every single time this happens so to me the simple missed balls were the difference. Again that same monkey can tell whose the better player simply by who misses more often. Europe pocketed more balls and made less errors and that's why they won. Call it focus or preparation or whatever you choose but in 9 ball you get few opportunities and obviously we could t capitalize and that's why we got our asses handed to us.

Go team USA still just use the defeats as motivation, and we should of had plenty of it, had I been a captain after mark grey was taking pictures and signing autographs mid-match I would of used every piece of footage and audio possible to show our guys what that really was ", and that's embarrassing. The Europeans knew they had won way before they got to 11, and that should of been helpful In lighting a fire under us but I didn't see any change in attitude during or after that match.

All In all I,like every other American, am embarrassed and disgusted with the outcome but I'll never stop routing for my country nor will I give up hope that we can't win. I vote for us to get BETTER, not for change.
