"Hey ... I'm back"!

OK .. I started trying to shoot again about a month ago. I went out to a bar I hadn't been to for maybe 10 years. Took my cheap ass Rage pete in. I just wanted to check out the table. Played a little and got accused of being some kind of shark. I never wanted or asked to play for any money or anything ...but because my stick looked like the bar sticks I got accused of trying to hustle. I have NEVER been that. Not that they got nasty ... but it still kinda bugged me.

easy. if this is the worst example of lack of respect, well i hate to disappoint ya, but ... it's like being called handsome when you are not and such.So grin, finish your drink and leave like a man.

Get used to it if you are going to play in bars...especially where people don't know you.

I wouldn't worry about it unless someone seriously makes accusations.

Many years ago a guy that was down $300 grabbed my Joss and was going to break it. Luckily I was known there and the bouncer was a very close friend from high school. He got my cue back and removed the guy from the bar.

He said I was a "shark". Honestly, most people that aren't really into the game don't know what that means anyway.

.

Bars with drunk people who probably don't know you, seems about normal to me.

I've been playing in bars for 40 years. Was early in the evening ... nobody drunk. I wasn't playing for money ... in fact ... I wasn't even looking to play another person ... just wanted to shoot the table. Just struck me as odd. Hell .. if someone said "can I use that stick" .. I'd have been fine with it. Just weird.
