Wildwoods are not laminates. They are burls impregnated just like the guy you are talking about. Dymondwood is probably the laminated stuff you are talking about. I have bought from Wildwoods in the past and they were very nice and consisitant. I have had other guys impregnated woods that were not as good. I am sure Nick has great stuff also as I heard good things about the wood this past year.I do not think he has a web address. But his name is: Nick Forosisky, his phone number is 814-266-6634, cell 814-244-6003 . His shop is in Johnstown PA.
I know many think the person at VF was "wildwoods" but Nick shared a table with the other party. The wildwoods are laminates, not the burls impregnated with acrylic. Nick provides his wood to many large knife manufacturers. And he can impregnate your own wood. He charges by the finished weight pound.
When I saw him at VF, my wife was with me. She grew up in Johnstown, so Nick and she had a lot to talk about. Nick invited me to see his shop the next time we visited her relatives. His shop is large, and the inventory of beautiful burls is amazing.
I hope that helps whomever wants to use those beautiful woods.

Chris is right here. I can't remember his name, but I bought several pieces from him (Wildwoods) over the years. His wife is one of the top scrimshaw artists in the US as well.
