Bet high and sleep in the streets. To all the roadies: don't be afraid of giving weight, you just might win something.

tap tap... Anybody want to do something??

There will be a bunch of people who would step up April 12-13 in Lubbock at the Fast Eddies. Rusty is no push over, but would get plenty of takers.

I would, but I haven't hit a ball in over a month and really don't intend to.

Sure, there will be takers but will they make the right game? Alot of pool players come through but never want to make a fair game. I've seen shannon murphy, troy frank, and other great players trying to match up "even". Do you think tiger, phil, or ernie if they gambled would be afraid to give up some strokes to guys that live in amarillo? I think not. If you give up good games you make alot of money. I've seen scotty townsend and john schmidt make great scores in Amarillo because they nutted up and gave the right games. Believe me, there are no champions in Amarillo!

Have you tried to match up with Shane Harvey or Jason Alvarez out of Lubbock? I haven't talked to either of them since I left Lubbock, but they would usually be up for making a game. I don't know for sure if they would match up on a bar table, but they definitely would on a 9'.

With the attitudes of the local poolhalls in Amarillo, not many good players will ever come here. All the local tournaments are just that, for locals only. When I started playing pool if I thought I could beat someone i put my money up and tried, if I didn't I set down and shut my mouth and watched. Alot has changed since then, but mostly I still sit down and shut up lol. To many people wanting to rob and not gamble. just my 2 cents worth

I agree, as things have really changed over the past few years and the level of play shows because of it too.

I'm just saying that good and great players have came through and tried to play mid level amateurs even.. They wonder why they are broke...
