action in nc?

we are a small pool room(if you call it that) in Elizabeth city,nc. we have a few shooters here that like to gamble a little,and are just looking for action. they aren't looking to shoot any $500 or $1000 sets,but they will shoot $50 or $100 sets. we don't have any powerhouse players here,just a couple of players with a lot of heart. good pool action is hard to find these days,its even hard (in our area of nc) to find players to shoot cheap. we are 1hr south of va. beach,and 2hrs east of rocky mount,nc

he lives on the other side of the state,we are in the far northeastern corner not far from va. sam Monday,shane winters,ronnie wiseman,john kucharo,all these players got action when they came here.

My sparring AZB partner here in Greensboro goes to Kill Devil Hills @ once a month. He hasn't to my knowledge found a decent hall in the area. Not sure how far away Elizabeth City is from there. He'd probably like to stop by if it's not too long a drive. PM him: EZ Money. Or I can call him. Sounds like he'd play the speed the OP described. And I'll get steer jelly (oh my, that sounds soooo wrong).

that would be great, i have a lot of respect for players like yourself who dont back down from action regardless of their opponent,i know from your posts on azb that you go out of your way trying to match up with people. for people down south driving up to the us open in chesapeake va,, we are right on the way,thats when ronnie wiseman came thru,i think he picked up a few hundred dollars playing one pocket

Jon kucharo.....lately, I hear that name more&more on AZ and around the pool table.....just happened to pass by him the other day around town.
Maybe the pool gods have something brewing'
I think we all would like to see him get back into pool.
Oh' and great to see you here! Hope you can share more of your pool knowledge.

Without players like wimpy there might not of been any Jon kucharos/"strong players" etc.

He just told me he didn't bring his cue this trip, and is returning shortly. But since I have a 10% standard steer fee involved , his next trip, which will be soon, he darned well bettter bring his cue. And I hope to accompany him again to one of the most beautiful places in the world.

as of now me and at least one or two guys will be there 18th weekend

that sounds great, a few of the greenville area players came to our sat. night tournament tonite,they took a few flyers and said they would definately be there sunday. there will be a few players from va.beach/newport news as well. i've been to 3 qualifiers,and the max turnout at any one of these has been 8 players. even though its summertime,i expect this qualifier to be a success,hopefully we can pull some strong players from other areas,
