action in stockton

I did some light gambling in stockton ca today.i was playing a little one pocket and some 9 ball. only played one guy we played before and he beat me some cheap sets and tonight was the same. but he still wouldn't give me any weight. i didn't need a lot maybe 1 ball playing one pocket and the 8 or 1 or so on the wire playing 9. but these guys here even when they got the nuts try to get you to give them weight. we were playing cheap sets and the guy was acting like he was the greatest player since mosconi. it was just a frustrating night and i thought i'd write about it

Your absolutely correct about Stockton ..The only real action was Felipe he use to give up the world to get action,at one time was a strong player. Haven't seen him play in a while so don't know how he's hitting them now
He will also give up weight just to practice ..

When Naughty Nick's was going good in the early 90's there use to be action everyday from few dollars a game to what ever they had to bet..

They have to have the nuts to play in Stockton and then still want weight,I stopped playing here and only play when I fell like playing either by going to Hardtimes in Sacramento or California Billiards In Mountain View or Gil's service in Elk Grove
I haven't hit a ball in a Stockton pool room in about a year ..

Did you play at Eddie's or Downtown?

You mean campos billiards before they changed the name when you said Eddies? i went to eddies up on the north side.

hay which of those pool halls you mentioned are closer.is elk grove closer or mountain view. sacramento's like an hour away and i really don't want to have to drive an hour everytime i feel like playing. what's that cost you in gas man? i drove about 17 miles to get to a pool hall in san diego but this is like 50 to sacramento

it's about 30 minutes from stockton they have 3 gold crowns with 860 and the spotted cue ball Sunday is USPPA tournament it starts at 1:00 pm nice group of guys who like to gamble a little bit your not gonna find big action there but $20-$50 sets are there ...

Me and a friend thought about opening a room in Stockton.. We was gonna hang a big sign NO NITS ALLOWED and we know who you are....

pm sent. i don't play well enough to play for more than 20-50 dollar sets so that sounds about right for me. everything about last night pissed me off.
you open up a pool hall here in stockton let me know. this place could use someplace with class to play pool
