Does anyone know any action poolhalls or tournments in St. Louis, MO? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Here are a few

"The Break" in Cahokia, IL just across the river is a place you could probably get some action. Cue and Cushion in Overland? is a great day time spot but mostly one pocket. Ride the Rail and The Sports Center are on the South side and you could get a little action there as well. Where is Watchez on this one?

Thanks, 1on1pooltournys

I definitely will check them out. Thanks a bunch.

You can also find action and Saturday tournaments at Just One More/Rader's in St. Charles (the reason I list it as two different names is because the sign says "Rader's" but if you call information for it I think it's still listed as "Just One More".) I would recommend Thursday nights or Saturday...Thursday is a very strong league night and Saturday they have a bar table 9-ball tournament that usually gets a descent turn out for a weekly and the players tend to run the gamut from weaker to some pretty solid players...

Also if you happen to be in that area then you might as well swing over to Teachers as well there is an off chance you might find some there depending on who happens to be in there and what night it is.

Anyone know if California Bob Strackin is still living there I haven't been there in ten years or so but when I was there they had many money leagues going all the time. When I was there I was looking for action as well and most of it was found through the leagues in a bar. I was there for 3 months and it was lucrative there was a ton of mid level players

Bob is back living in Canada. I saw him in Vegas last year and he looked the same. It was good to see him.

If Dragon Cue is looking for action in St Louis, it shouldn't be hard. Just send me a PM. I am sure we can find him a game. If he wants to sneak around, then he will have to slither and find his own info.

I am not good enough to just walk in & play anybody. I just wanted to watch some good money matches, but I do want to play some strong tournaments though. Thanks all for the info.

When I was there Bob played pretty good but I played a match against a young kid maybe 18 -20 years old. We played 3 sets to 11 and he played real strong I was later told that he had won a junior national championship or 2. I haven't played enough in the last 4-5 years so I don't stay very current on who is who, but I have wondered if this kid went the distance. Does this sound like anyone familiar.

Yeah he went the distance. Andy Quinn - BCA League Open Men's 8 ball champion in 2006 and has won many, many regional events. A top $$$ player as well.
