what game?
Say 9 ball start at $5 a game and play for more each session and when and if you start to get nervous you have reached your pressure level.

25 a set or 5 a rack is a good start. Go up from there. Dont bet what you dont have and what you cant afford to lose.

Yeah I'm usually playing 9. Just trying to get a gage on where to start at a reasonable price to see where I'm at.

pressure is an individual thing. 5 bucks might be it for some players and 100 or more for some others.

same for your opponent to put pressure on him.

What do you define as pressure? I feel no pressure gambling. I am in control. Can play the game I want, bet what I want, quit when I want, raise the bet if I want. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Tournaments are a whole different thing. I have dogged it in tournaments. I feel real pressure in tournaments. Tournaments match for the most part is sudden death. You lose and have to shake hands and smile. If you are gambling you just keep playing if you lose, or quit, it's up to you.

Most all pressure is self imposed. It comes from an unrealistic assessment of what is actually happening. You are not in any danger, it is not skydiving or nascar.

Feeling a little pressure can be normal but it should not effect what you are doing. If anything it should sharpen you. I used to know a guy who was a closer in the big leagues. I said to him I would be scared to death to face what he faces as a profession. He said he cant wait to get in and close the game and win.

Relating to poo,l you should not be sitting there almost afraid to come back to the table wishing for an easy leave. You know how to play, you just do what you have learned in practice. Play your game with confidence.
Easier said then done I know.
