You may be right.. excellent point. But that suggests to me we may have a team of "frontrunners". Do great when wee are getting the rolls, but fold up when adversity hits.

Didnt Karl boyes just smack lil oscar gambling for 20gees for 2 sets not too long ago ?

Doubt many wld favor sky, hatch or bergman against Darren appleton or Albin ouschan for a race to hundred gambling .

I'm not saying the Europeans don't GAMBLE at times, but i guarantee you it's NOT their core reason for playing pool. Shane has had an open invitation to any player on the planet to race to a 100 in 10ball, yet that list has no takers on it, why is that? I told Shane playing races to 25 is playing into the hands of his opponents, because they can't fade the endurance run to a 100, and Shane is a slow starter in a race to 25...but, he has to accept the handicaps if he wants action.

In Germany, as an example, the government charges a tax per TV in the home, therefore you don't have as many children who live their entire teenage years on a video game console, so they get bored and have to go find something to do.

not exactly accurate but the Sentiment is right. I feel that the Kids in Germany spend less time in front of TV than in the US....solely based on my personal experience having lived in both countries. However this has Little to do with taxes on TVs....
I pay the same amount whether I have 1 or 100 TVs in the house....it is a tax on Television/Radio/Internet (and even that is going away)
