Adam cue rebuild

This full splice Adam came in with a badly warped handle. I thought you may be interested in how it came apart and how it went back together. Let me know what you think.

I think it all depends on how you take care of it,I had a 25 year old Helmstetter made by Adam and it was perfect in every aspect still including the leather wrap,the shaft wood was awesome too. :smile:

No, they don't. Wood does weird things. Could have been this particular piece, could have been a product of environment, could have been storage, side pressure, etc..... So many things to worry about that it is a wonder any cue stays straight.

Nice work Ryan, that cue looks really heavy without a maple handle but I like cues light. Very clean job putting it back together, that Adams cue is really nice I wonder if Structure stole their logo to put on their clothing?

It was rebuilt for a customer so it went home yesterday.

The original full splice handle was cocobolo so I replaced it with the same. I weigh everything before I start, throughout, and finished. I do my best to recreate the same distribution of weight as the original. Oddly enough, it felt nice and balanced well.
