Someone was asking the other day about ADAM cues still made in Japan. The 'Kenbu' line on this site are made in Japan. They said they can order the Musashi line as well. Not involved just passing this on. The 'ADV' line is made in the Universal shop in China is what i gather. Have to double check with these folks. They answer prety fast. https://adam-ny.com/product/kenbu/

That's a tricky situation. The Adam name for cues are currently owned by the Balabushka Cue Company, so I believe a new "Adam" brand cue can only be sold today from the Balabushka Cue Company. I don't know if the Adam NY outfit and Adam Japan can sell a branded Adam cue in the US. Someone on this site probably knows the commercial law ins and outs of it.

I asked them this. See what they say. I love the looks of those Kenbu's. #4 is really nice.

Yeah, #4 looks really good. I like #2 and #7 as well. Still kicking myself for letting go of a Helmstetter carom cue with veneers similar to #2.

I deleted my post as it really didn't fit this thread.

UD: they msg'd me back and said that the lines they sell are from ADAM-Japan and are different than the Chinese/Taiwanese-made ADAM's that Mallen/Balabushka sells. Little bit of a language prob. but i'm pretty sure this is what they meant. I just msg'd Peggy via FB to get her stance on this. She only has a few ADAM cues on her site and i think(WAG so far) that these are the cues she has U.S. rights too. We'll see.

UD#2: Peggy M. got back with me and said that they have different trademarks in the US for their respective lines of cues. She said the NY folks are totally good to go legally.

Nice. I personally am glad that’s cleared up!

These Adam cues were given to me by the wife of a good man and player after he passed away.
I think the top two were made here in the states but not sure. And I think the bottom two were made
outside the US. What I can say about all of them is they're all solid, great feeling cues. An early edition
of the Blue Book for cues might have the top two pictured.

No ADAM cues were ever made in the US. Until they started Chinese production all were made in Japan. As cornerman has told us even some of the Japan built cues have sub-assemblies made outside Japan.

Me comprende now. Wherever and whoever made them did a good job as far as I'm concerned, both for how they hit and play as well as look. Hit and play is subjective but I've had some higher priced customs in my paws that didn't feel as good or get the results. They all take weight bolts which is something I've always liked. A lot of other players don't. But they're my cues, my feel.

They made nice stuff. The older Japanese-built ones play as good as anything made at the time.

Yep, my Adam Balabushka, built mostly in Taican/Universal in 2003, is one of the best feeling cues I have. The balance and sound fit me really well.

When I posted my pictures earlier, I could have sworn I had one more cue to that bunch but couldn't find it. Lo and behold, I just did in a single case that was hidden among others. I think this was made by Adam but don't know what it's identified as. A
"Tribute cue" or "Balabushka Tribute cue" for Willie Mosconi. You or Garczar will probably know. This one is really solid hitting
and gorgeous to look at. I have two shafts for it.

Willie Mosconi tribute cue.
Balabuska never assembled anything like this,he did not make his own blanks.

Did Willie play with a Balabushka as his regular cue? For some reason the name sticks in my mind as there was some kind of association when it was made. (or maybe I'm talking out of my butt which is a higher chance)

Edit:
Nope, I'm not talking out of my butt this time. Look what I just found being sold on Ebay and how it's named:
