Since moving to Texas from Iowa a few years ago 2 of my cues are warped.The butts are crooked and I'm wondering if it's from the climate difference or perhaps the way the older cues were made. Both are about 20 years old and never left in the car. Are newer made cues like OB and Predator more stable due to newer construction methods and glues?

You don't have to leave a cue in a car for it to take a warp. Both temperature change and humidity can cause a change.
Even the best made cues can take on a warp...no cue maker can guarantee 100% the quality of each individual piece of wood.
Both Adam and Helmstetter cues have pretty good reps. Were your cues stored in good cases? In some instances, warped cues (even the butts) can be straightened if the warp isn't too pronounced. Ask your local cuemaker or repair person about them.

I've had a handful of cues over the years that were dead straight as an arrow and by the time the cue hit the coast line, it was warped a little bit. The cue came back to me and by the time I rolled the cue on the table, back to dead solid perfect. Could be a older cue that has a little dryer wood hits a humid area and takes off?? If you know someone in Iowa very good, send them back and I'm sure they will be straight again, maybe sell them in that area.
