add "nano-soft grip" to a no-wrap pool cue?

I was in a billiards store the other day, and for the first time handled a cue that had one of those "nano-soft tech grips". The grip was really comfortable and felt great--but was attached to a $300 cue.

Since I have no desire to spend $300 on anything pool-related, I was wondering if there was some kind of inventive "poor man's" nano-soft grip material, perhaps from a home improvement store or something, that could be glued on to a no-wrap cue. Anyone given any thought to this idea and come up with a material that would work? I'm thinking some kind of very thin rubbery type of material (but not actual rubber--I know you can get roll-on rubber grips) might work, but I'm trying to think of something that would mimic that kind of grip.

Since you are looking for an inexpensive solution and "have no desire to spend $300 on anything pool-related", you could zip tie a non-lubricated latex condom to the cue. I wouldn't glue it though, because when it breaks, and trust me, it will break, it will be too much work cleaning it off the cue.

Hmmmm. Duct tape. But I'm just guessing cause I have no idea what a Nano Grip looks like.

Duct tape also comes in different colors now so thats a bonus

get the roll on grips that many 3c players use. I picked a 3 pack, red/black/blue for $10 on Ebay.
