Been playing around with a new feature today. It is now installed and seems to be working ok. You can probably find it if you look around a little.

Glad to have that feature back. Now you can work on getting back V-Cash and V-Bookie. ;) :D :p

I noticed the feature, but cannot get it to work.

all i have is a blank space in the upper right hand corner covering the links and log out buttons. i can see some other words in there called chat in forum and chat in new window. but since they are covering the other links there it don't work for me. Also the chat link words are almost transparent.......mike

I am running Linux w/Firefox, and it has completely messed up my page views. I cannot use the feature as it is not supported by Linux.:( I am sure others will enjoy using it.

On my system I get an control security error on loading all AZB forum pages now. I have my security settings setup to deny Java applets from running. If I turn this setting off the page loads without an error, but I then get Java authentication issues dur to my corporate Firewall, so I still cannot load the pages properly.

Is it possible to have a per-User option to turn the Chat on or off for us "security challenged" users?

The chat program is a Java app - might I suggest you folks head over to www.sun.com and pick up the latest JRE (Java Run-time Environment) for your computer/operating system. Try the chat again after you've got the latest and greatest installed.

I suspect that's due to the "Number of Users Chatting" bit at the top right of the forums - it's also a small Java app that's picking up the user count from the chat room and displaying it there.

I'd suggest removing that bit from the main forum pages, as that *does* introduce a Java app onto every forum page that is unnecessary and could cause trouble for some folks (like Dan here).
