Adding Weight to a schon

I Have posted a few times with questions pertaining to weight on schon.

We cannot get the bolt out, without going to the extreme of heating it with a soldering iron or sending it to schon.

My idea now is to put a few washers behind the bumper to add a little weight, since there is a screw that holds the bumper in i figured it would stay tight and would not rattle around in there. I Dont think it would through off the ballance too much, because if i were to change the bolt to a heavier one the weight would be in the same place!

Any Thoughts?

Thanks
Steve

You do realize

that some cuemakers put glue in that hole before putting the bolt in, don't you? That is most likely the reason why you can not get it out.

The best road to take is to call Evan, and tell him the model number, and tell him what you want to do, and see if it was glued in. If it was, he knows what type of glue, and what would break the glue bond, so it could be taken out. Most will not use a 'forever' glue, just one to minimally secure the bolt to keep it set firm.

You are talking about your cue, man, it is best to do it right, or it may bug you forever!!!!

Well, it is bugging me forever already......

I Contacted Evan already, and he was very vague about the issue, i guess maybe i will call them on monday..

So you dont think the washers is a good idea ?

Steve

Evan has been contacted about this issue many times and he will say to send the cue to him for weight adjustment. If it were mine, that's what I would do.
