Addition to the pool room

Takes the Ecco out, which is very very comfortable after playing a long session. I always do my rooms like that. Best move possible and is about the least expensive thing to do. Most people over look it. Unless a room is huge it’s very important

It's awesome and I highly recommend it if you are not finishing your space out. Def helps with echo, more stable temps, and protects balls and cues from concrete.

I am about to add some blackout curtains along a wall (without windows) for some echo control. I'll post pics when I get them up. The curtains might be a good way to get the wife happy with the room. Ikea had them on clearance for $10 for 83 inch by 93 inches. I am doing one wall for $40 to see what I think.

Used table, just like this one PRC black... I'm in a new home and gotta have one.
Here's my baby.
Table is just like new.
Thanks Diamond Dave Egdahl.

I'll build a room around it when I have the time.
Will be getting a better light too.

Congrats SBC fine looking table. These are built like tanks.

I sound proofed a basement room for pool. We used sound proofing insulation and Quietrock drywall. The drywall is not attached to any joists or studs. Instead it is hung on special channel runners that are attached to the studs and joists.. It was fantastic down there. In the room directly above you could not hear a thing, not even a break shot..

You are right about the noise. I should find my shooting earmuffs for break shots. If the basement has CMU or concrete walls, I'm sure it's worse.

Concrete walls are painful. I love the sound of pool balls, but the echo of them is horrible. In big rooms-TV tables or pool rooms with real high ceilings and open spaces the balls sound better. The atmosphere is almost important as having enough space.

Took me years to figure out how to build out a good pool room in a house or area with limited space. Trail & error were the best teachers. In retrospect it seem pretty easy now, suppose I’m a slow learner. I just like things done properly, that’s not always just throwing $ at it. It’s just about getting the details right. Cooking good food is similar.

Enjoy,
Fatboy<——happy to help if I can, if I can’t I’ll be the first to admit idk wtf Is going on. But with home rooms, I’m solid.

Yeah . Rails were making a thunking sound ...turned rail bolts a turn and a half and now it's playing perfectly. Will be reclothing soon with Simonis 850 HR. The consistent play of these tables is amazing.

Should be at 15ft pounds if you wanna check the torque on it.

Curtains Installed. I went back to IKEA and got another 4 panels and the hardwire kit (wire and clips) to hang these. I like them. I am not sure these help with acoustics but they frame out the pool area from the other parts of my garage.

Now I just need to get a tankless water heater and get rid of this big ass thing in my pool room.
