Hey all!
Lately, I’ve been adjusting the weight and balance of my 8 Point Sneaky Pete Black/Curly/Blue Points Linen Wrap pool cue with a Revo 12.4 shaft, but I still haven’t found the right weight bolt combination that I like.
I like my cue to feel a bit heavier so that when I pull it back on the final stroke, it naturally wants to go forward through the CB. When the cue feels light, I feel like I might twist it or something, but I also don’t like it when the whole cue feels too heavy.
I’ve tried putting the light weight bolts first — like 0.1 and 0.2/0.3/0.4 oz — and then the heavier ones — like 0.5, 0.7, and 1 oz — in different combinations, as well as putting the heavier ones first. When the heavier bolts are too far towards the butt end, the whole cue feels heavy; when they’re first in, the cue feels lighter but still not to my liking; and when they’re somewhere in the middle, it feels too light.
My grip hand is generally on the butt end of the cue, below the wrap.
Has anyone played with this setup and has some weight bolt combinations to recommend?
