Adopting the same rules for rotation games

I'm sure it's been discussed before, but is there any significant push for getting 9-ball and 10-ball played under the same rules for all tournaments? Will it actually happen?

Pattern-racking, not pattern racking, using a magic rack, using a turtle rack, using the old wooden rack, call shot, call safe, call nothing, jump cues, no jump cues, jump only with shooting cues, conceding racks, no conceding racks. I'm sure there's more but....good Lord!

When you list it all down like that, it's sure beginning to sound silly eh? Anybody have good info. on the outlook for all of this?

No real info, but as long as their is no "main" tour, the rules will probably differ in every tournament. Everybody's got an opinion on these things, usually they favor conditions that give themselves or their favorite player the edge... The way things are, promotors and pool players acting like they do etc, the unified tour will likely not happen in this or the next decade. A lot of crooks and con-artists have to die off first and sadly there is a long line of new people of the same ilk to take their places...
