Advice for Buying a New Table, Please

by all means try and get a Diamond

consider scouting listings in Western New York and rent a cargo van when ready, with our dollar close to par the value is much better than the huge markups you pay here on Brunswicks

Can't go wrong with Diamond or Black Crown

Honestly you can't go wrong with either. The pool hall I play at has both in them, They have one 9' Diamond Pro-Am that they charge $10 an hour to play on and you have to break with a extra piece of felt under the cue. With the pro cut pockets you really gain a new respect for how the pros play. I think if it were my money I would invest in the Diamond. Jason had a good idea about going to Turning Stone to purchase one. I used to live in Belleville and Turning Stone is literally like a 2 hour drive. Not sure what the duty you would have to pay on it would be but......

I have attached some pictures of the table Nathan and Mika used for the mastering pool videos, it is a beauty. You would have to ask Nathan whether this particular model would fit into your budget.

Good Luck with whatever you do,

I'm in Belleville every couple of months we should hit some balls sometime.

If you have $4000 for a table, save an extra $500 and take a drive down to Turning Stone in Aug. I think they sell the diamonds for $4500. You would have the best table in the world for $500 extra!

A very pleasant idea, but then youd need a ton of dough to get it shipped back, and then you'd still need to get an installer. You'd be in the $5500 range by that point. :(

lol, and how'd a picture of me get in this thread? Settle down Dave :p

Speaking of Dave, wow, that's a ridiculous price in that PDF you posted. There *has* to be some sort of catch...that just looks too good to be true.

Doesn't cost anything to contact Bradleys. Higher volume dealer may get you a better price, and I suspect that running down to Belleville is less hassle than trying to drive through Toronto to make a delivery:D

I think their warehouse is in Pickering.

FWIW Bradleys overhauled the table I play on, completely satisfactory.

Thank you Scaramouche for the suggestion for a good dealer.

I just got off the phone with Bradleys to get a price on the 9' Black Crown II. The cost would be $4599.00. That includes the package with 4 house cues, balls, cover, cue rack and some other stuff. Basically everything except the lite. The delivery is 40km included then an extra $1.50 per km after. According to Google Maps, that would make delivery $177.

After tax it should be just under $5400. This is definitely something I am considering.

Did they change to pockets on the new black crown. The plastic insert look to be flush with rail like brunswick gold crown V and metro.

Yeah, the pockets are flush. It's a very nice table....highly under rated.

Did you not go down to DCC Jason? I figured you'd be there for sure. :)

I don't play 14.1 or 1 pocket... doesn't leave much for options. I am hoping to get to US Barbox next month. Only 50/50 at this point.

Flush pockets is a great improvement on those tables. How about the counters are this still above the rail? They are killer on a cue.

Nope, no counters anymore. :)

Man, I hope I don't sound like I'm advertising for Canada Billiard. They do provide a table for me to use free of charge when I film a new DVD, but that's as far as our exchange goes. I just legitimately like their Black Crown II.

Sounds like the addressed every issue I had with the table. With those changes, I would now put it up there with the gold crown that cost $11,000
