Advice/ Identifying a craiglist table

Hey guys.

I need some expert advice. I'm torn between two tables. One of which is a GC3. The other is sort of a mystery brunswick. Here are pics of the mystery table-

It's been sitting in a wealthy man's house and has only been played on about 10 times. I personally checked it out and it seems to be in very good shape with only a couple of small scratches. They want 1100 for it and i think i can get them to give it to me for 1000.

Now, my other possible table is this GC 3 pro 8' -

Which has been the owner of a billiards supply shop's personal home table. He's had it about 8 years and it's never been used commercially and he says it's in very good condition. I haven't seen it with my own eyes yet but he says it's in good shape and i'm inclined to believe him being that he owns a billiards shop and probably takes better care of a table than the usual person. They want 900 (including delivery and installation!).

Now, I know the gold crown is a really good deal. It's basically only costing me 550 when i deduct what it would cost for me to get it delivered and installed. So my question is, can anyone identify the other table and tell me if that table is a better deal, considering that it will cost me about 400 more?

I think i'm going to go with the GC, but i'd like to feel like i'm making the right decision.

Thanks, guys.

The first one is a Brunswick Medalist, a commercial table that is a notch under the Gold Crowns.

Fo me there would be no question. They're both Brunswicks and the GC is the top o' the line. On top of which it is cheaper.

It's not as though the alternative is a Centennial or Anniversary.

thanks to everyone for confirming what i thought. i've never bought a table before and i just needed some experts to back me up.

I'd be careful about jumping on the GC3, there's something fishy about $900.00 delivered and setup for this table, especially if it's coming from a billiards store. Sounds to me like someone is trying to Dump this table for that price....why? because it's worth a lot more than that:wink:

Yes, $900 for the GC3 is cheap but it is an 8 footer. No one knows the worth of the table better than you RKC, but I'm just thinking of it from the standpoint of if I was looking to buy it compared to a 9' Medalist for $1K.

I realize that you didn't mention the size of the other table, so my original thoughts assumed they were both 8'. If the Medalist is 9', only a notch below the GC, and in great shape then perhaps the choice gets a little murky.
