Advice on Ebay Bidder

I have a George case on ebay and everything was fine until I got up this morning.

At first I thought, alright another bid, then I see it's a zero bidder.

Ebay won't let you pre block zero bidders or I would have. The most you can do is block bidders who have a "-1" feedback score.....and I have that.

BUT then I look at his feedback.......yes it says "zero" but click on the name and you see he REALLY has two feedbacks and one of them is a "no reply no pay".

They are too old to show in his feedback???????

So what would you do?

1. Contact the guy and ask if he is serious.......but will he tell you the truth if he isn't

2. Delete the bid

3. Leave it and hope someone outbids him

If I was looking at this, I would first think I was shill bidding and I would think twice about bidding on the item.

Taking all suggestions.......

I'd just ride with it, maybe he'll get out bid maybe not, but everybody deserves a second chance.

To me that constitutes negative feedback no matter what...You can post in the item description 'No bids with 0 feedback'...

I'd email the guy and find out how he sounds. Explain what you know about him from his old feedback record and then decide whether to cancel his bid or not based on his reply to you. If it was a $1500 cue i'd probably cancel him, but maybe he will come through on your case if he wins the auction.

Well, I solved the problem. I sold it to a fellow AZ member and I am stopping the auction. I usually don't stop auctions but this had the makings of a major headache and I'm glad the case is going to this guy.

Quick and easy

Your ad states that it's for sale at other places. PM me your asking price and you might not have to sweat the auction.

Jeff,

I just want to commend you for having the decency in stating outright that this case is vinyl.

This should have been mentioned to you in the first place by the previous seller you bought the case from. He should have known what he was dealing with and what a buyer would expect.

You get good rep from me, and I just want to say that I've always enjoyed dealing with you because you are so honest and forthcoming.

I don't think I will ever get a better recommendation from anyone more highly regarded than you.

No where to go but down now. :) :)

Thanks Chris, all our deals have been nothing but pleasant

whats the big deal

why would you care if he has zero feedback and zero bids?? everyone started out that way. your gonna get paid before you ship it so i don't see what the deal is. could someone please explain???

Even though it said zero feedback, the guy "really" had a 50% feedback rating

I probably would have messaged him and tried to get a feel for his intentions but I don't have to worry about that now.

for future reference what i like to do with 0 feedback bidders is to cancel the bids. the ones that are actually serious will take time to email/contact you at which point u can discuss the deal and forms of payment.
