aging tips

Do tips age or have a useful life expiration date? What happens to their play ability if they have sit up in storage for 4-5 years?
 
I am sure some tips have expiration dates, but I have had some Moori tips for about 20 years that are still good. I have also installed Triangles that I have had for 15 years with no problems. The Mooris were kept in a small safebox and the triangles were kept in their regular box.

I have some Champions from the 60s - I wouldn't hesitate to use one - as a matter
of fact, several of the shafts I play with have these venerable tips.

Think about it - you could still wear your grandfathers shoes couldn't you?

No, my feet are about four sizes bigger than his. But I do agree on the tips. I have some Champions too and one friend who just plays with those.
