I was hoping for a video on the pool placement challenge and winners.

I was going to do a Live Stream video for the lottery drawing, but I was so busy I decided to just do the drawing myself picking the number out of a hat. I figured since the stakes were so low, nobody would mind.

FYI, I did post the PPC Challenge results here and in the YouTube video description and pinned comment.

The idea is good, the challenge is just a little on the demanding side.

Maybe try the challenge idea again and refine it. Maybe something that is geared towards beginners.

The perfect score is ideal, but lots of people just like passing and knowing they have enough potential.

I think a good personal challenge for players of all levels is the Run-out Drill System (RDS). Check it out. Even a novice player will be successful in the early levels, being able to pocket many balls. And keeping track of and trying to beat your personal best ending level over time is a fun and motivating challenge.

Has anybody ever heard about or seen the 1-more-than-twice system before? If so, where? I’ve never seen it in any book or video before.

Thanks,
Dave

I actually found long time ago from carom system book(called no spin system to corner.. or something like that). It is superior on accuracy compared any system i know. I think i used it about 15-20 years. It is little different originally and it have more reference lines than yours on video.
I have expanded it a lot for pool.

Could you explain how the original system was "different?" And could you briefly explain how you have "expanded it." As I show in my video, the basic 1-more-than-twice system requires adjustments (in different directions) on both ends of the range.

Thanks!

After watching this video my head hurts. Gonna have to watch it many more times, one system at a time, at a time when I can focus and better digest what Dr Dave is conveying. Watching just now, in my current state of reception it sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher “Wawa, wawawawa.” Nothing against the video. I just didn’t get it. LOL.

I know I went a little overboard trying to include everything useful and important in one video. I can understand the feeling of information overload.

I recommend watching just one section at a time and repeating it as many times as necessary. Even better, try out at the table everything in the one section before moving on. That should keep you busy for a while. And when you are done, I suspect you will be a more-effective kicker and banker.

This video is meant as a complete instructional resource. To be effective at kicks and banks, you really need to know (or have a solid intuitive feel for) everything in this video. But if you instead want basic info and shorter videos that cover individual topics, you can it in the videos and links here:

I haven't seen your new system for firm banks. But, I use a system where you multiply the diamond you are on by 0.4. So, from the 2nd diamond the aim point would be 2x0.4=0.8. It is close to Ralph Eckert's reference banks from

FYI, I explain Eckert's system and compare it to the 1/3-more-than-twice system, along with several other fast-speed systems (including the 0.4 approximation you mention), here:

Check it out.

I expected this video to be well received, and I thought many people would find it useful, but judging from the "lower than normal" view rate on YouTube and the lack of comments on AZB, Facebook and YouTube, it seems that I was wrong. Why do you think this is the case?

Did I pack too much info into one video?

Is the video too long?

Are my explanations and demonstrations difficult to understand?

Are people just not that interested in banks and kicks?

Any other reasons?

Thanks in advance for any input and feedback,
Dave

I think it was well done.

I'm familiar with some of these systems, and I had no problem following it along, and learning new stuff.

I'm not sure why the viewership might be lower. Someone unfamiliar with at least one of these banking systems might find it a little dense, but watching it a couple of times would probably help.

Maybe just give it time. It is the summer after all, and pool is often slower in the summer??

Diamond System is easy to learn, take time & practice to master.

Then you got the differences in playing conditions.

CONDITIONS ARE:

RSILS

CLOTH

TEMPETURE

NEW CLOTH, and OLD WORN CLOTH ARE DIFFERENT.
