Great video. I plan on trying some of these out today. As a Diamond table owner, I'm wondering: would the 1/3-More-Than-Twice system simply become the 1/2-More -Than-Twice system?FYI, I just posted a new video that demonstrates a simple and effective set of diamond systems for aiming a wide range of one-rail kick and bank shots. Check it out:

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Dr. Dave's Youtube channel has 193,000 subscribers. Looking at the numbers for the last time i catalogued them, that's the largest number of subscribers of any pool or snooker channel.DrDave is not appealing to new content delivery formats.
Have you thought about adding new social media accounts?
i agree. with emerging platforms and new users i was asking if he thinks its worth the workDr. Dave's Youtube channel has 193,000 subscribers. Looking at the numbers for the last time i catalogued them, that's the largest number of subscribers of any pool or snooker channel.
I think Dr. Dave is a success.

I hadn't noticed that. It's interesting that so many people are interested in trick shots!FYI, Venom has over a million subscribers. I guess I need to get me some of those sexy models that appear in his videos.![]()
I gave it a try. I have a 9ft black-label diamond (< 1 year old). I wanted to minimize the impact of variables, so I set up along two lines, 1.5 to 3 1/3 and 2 to 4 1/3, with the object ball about an inch from the rail and the cue ball about a foot from the OB, perfectly along the intended line. I discounted any shot where I either felt I did not do a direct hit on the OB, or if I saw the CB spinning in any way after impact (what can I say--amateur stroke here). I hit at medium speed. I went until I got about half a dozen qualifying hits. That might work. I don't have convenient access to a Diamond to check. Please let us know how it works if you try it.
How much of that might just be due to having posted it right before a major holiday weekend? No. I keep busy enough already with AZB, e-mail, YouTube, and Facebook. I don't want to add more.
Regardless, my concern in this thread isn't overall reach. It is has this video has done relative to other recent videos I've posted. This particular video is get much fewer views than normal.

Just a quick glance though, shows that Dr. Dave's instructional videos are exceeding the viewer rates for Venom's instructional videos. I think you need a certain level of commitment to watch an instructional video, so maybe that's the hard core community?
Thanks for reporting back.I gave it a try. I have a 9ft black-label diamond (< 1 year old). I then did the "and a half" line for a series of hits. Conclusion: my diamond works on the "and a third" line. Caveats for trying to generalize from that are that 1) supposedly diamond uses different rubber between their 7/8 ft tables and their 9 ft tables, and, 2) the rubber that diamond used in its older tables may be different than the ones in the more recent tables. I know when I recently played in a pool hall with 10 year old 7ft diamonds, I noticed the pinball effect that others seem to complain about. It would not surprise me at all if for a large population of the existing diamond tables, an "and a half" system or something similar might actually be better.

I actually found long time ago from carom system book(called no spin system to corner.. or something like that). It is superior on accuracy compared any system i know. I think i used it about 15-20 years. It is little different originally and it have more reference lines than yours on video.
I have expanded it a lot for pool.
Could you explain how the original system was "different?" And could you briefly explain how you have "expanded it." As I show in my video, the basic 1-more-than-twice system requires adjustments (in different directions) on both ends of the range.
i will back on this later when i got time. maybe do short video for you. and some diagrams.
Or you could, just wear short Shorts.....FYI, Venom has over a million subscribers. I guess I need to get me some of those sexy models that appear in his videos.![]()
