Here is a drawing showing the CB contact point location based on the angle between the OB and CB.

Thanks. That makes it pretty clear that technically and geometrically about the only shot that the system will work for (as the system is explained in the YouTube video) is Shot B. Of course, if the player makes subconscious adjustments and pays no real attention to the line of the shaft, anything could happen.
