Aiming problem

Most of the time I have a decent game and I also have streaches where my aiming and cue ball control is almost perfect . My problem is I go in these slumps where my aiming goes to hell and I can't figure it out . I've had lessons with Scott and I work on the mother drills a few times a week . My stroke feels good , I think it's somehow how I'm lineing up over my stick . When this happens on league night it gets really bad because the more I try and fix this the worst it gets . I dont know if anyone can help with this, I'm just venting becaue I'm in this slump right now . :(

I'm not an instructor, but when what you're describing happens to me, I reexamine every aspect of my stroke, including my pace, pre-shot routine, footwork, alignment, sometimes its been something as small as my wrist angle or what parts of my hand are being used in my grip and bridge hand. Hope that helps.

Roger...Mother Drill 4 is a great way to "see" where your cue lines up when you perceive the shot line...and a great way to determine if you're shooting a straight line or not. Like you said, your stroke is repeatable enough so that you play very well sometimes. The key is to make that be most of the time. Everyone misses...even the pros. Just FYI, you could give Geno a call, and see if he can help you over the phone...
