I realize larger spray guns are better but has anyone ever used an airbrush to apply the finish?

Yes I have used airbrushes and know many that still use them. I prefer the larger gun, because it atomizes the finish better.

I know two local makers who use 'em.
They think the big sprayers are a waste of finish.
