I own & use just the jump portion of one of Alex's j/b cue, and I have to say that it jumps like a monster. It's the easiest jumper I've tried and the extra weight (11.9oz) helps me stay down during the jump stroke. In many cases you just have to drop the cue on the ball (almost).
12squared is right.you really don't need to be able to jump to use these.you just drop the cue on the cue ball.i tried one and it didn't suit my stlye, but if you are new to jumping or like the heavy jump cues, this one is what you want.they are very heavy.
