Alien Pool Tables

anyone know anything about these tables?

I have installed several tables for billiards by design. Here's the problem with this particular model. Maybe they have fixed the problem since I sent them the pictures.

sorry for the dirty lens on my camera.

I'd suspect the cables should not have any slack (as opposed to the cable in the photo).

Looks like Chinese slates were used.

It's the legs being out of square. Notice the framing square sitting next to the leg.
John

I saw the framing square. Looked like even if the leg was square there would still be cable slack.

seems like an aluminum bar between the legs near the carpet would solve the problem. regardless, there is one exactly like this for sale locally, but with oak rails. the guy wants $2K for it. says he paid 10K. don't want a table with chinese slate though.

King Cobra: how can you tell if it's chinese slate?

It's not chinese slate, it Imperila K pattern Brazilian slate. I'm surprised he paid 10K for this table. I delivered a table to a customer and the customer told me they paid 24K for the table. And I have delivered basic rainbow designed tables for them that cost 10K.

so you think that 10K was a low price for this table? if so 2k would be a steal.
