Hey Guys,, A couple of questions on alignig the shaft saw blade. Whats the best way to make sure the blade is perfect level horizontally and vertically. Im concerned that the blade cuts and an angle. By that I mean that if you look down at the shaft over the blade you notice that the blade may be off to the left or right and make for a poor cut. The shaft that the blade runs on can be adjusted with the bolts that hold the blade carrige to the table saw but Ive never thought of that part being out of line. I hope Im explaining this so you can understand. Im not concerned that the blade is perpendicular to the top but that it is slightly angled. Can this be why I have those pesky fine line in my butts and shafts? Thanks for any advise and help.

Hi,

Before you mess with the shaft alignment take a precision square and check the blade to the table. Also, are you using a carbide blade that has a flat top grind contour. Any saw repair place can do this. The height of the blade should be set so your final cut is as square to the shaft at possible.

There is a vibration damper that you can attach to the blade from GRIZZLEY and the belt can be changed and replaced with the belt that is made up of links. Its adjustable and reduces vibration. I forget what it is called but it helped my machines work better.
