Hill Hill. wow. Johann just broke and there is a 1 combo into the corner
Hmmmm

OMG, looks like pressure is getting to Johan
Missssed the 1
Easy run out for the experienced Chang

Chang made the key shot, The 7 down the line and draw to the 10
Chang vs Ko. The World Cup of Pool teammates will fight it out

whoever wins will win for 2nd time
The way Ko is breaking IMHO he is slight favorite:D

Ko is my bet to win now, but also wont be surprised to see Chang win as well. Both this guys are awesome players.

apparently, Ko likes punishing champions. first it's Thorsten, now he leads 7-1 against Chang.

Man, that is some GREEN cloth they got on those Brunswicks.

I wonder why they don't use Tournament Blue.

Seems like a good game to wake up to. Ko leading 8-6 now, tightening up.

Not a big fan of your opponent being allowed to practice and keep their stroke up every single time a player takes a time-out. It seems to take away the advantage of calling a time-out after your opponent makes a huge mistake, as you're basically giving them the opportunity to practice whatever they messed up 10 times, make it 8 out of 10 times, and feel confident again. Maybe time-outs should not be used offensively, but I don't like it much. I've also seen that rack 'catch' a few balls in fortuitous ways and disrupt or end run-outs.

All in all, though, a great tournament.

Edited for 9-6 Ko.

Now it's Hill-Hill. Great Final.

Comedy of errors in the last rack. Chang scratches on the break, but the 4 and 10 hug up against each other and Ko's pattern leads him to shoot the plant and try to bank the 10 and win the game, a shot which he misses very badly. He leaves the 4 hanging in front of the side pocket. Chang makes the 4 but right before he shoots someone talks pretty loudly around the tables and rips away his concentration: the cue ball caroms off the 10 ball and scratches in the corner pocket. Ko is out and wins it all.

here's the video of the final rack, http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/41061427.
man, that was weird. the rack was a walk in the park. funny how really strange things happen, especially in a hill-hill championship rack where every move counts.
anyway, the match was awesome.:)

banking the 10

Ko's decision to bank the 10-ball does not look like top-flight decision making. Could he at least have tried to put the cue ball somewhere safe in case he missed the bank?

Watching the video, also, it's clear that Chang's scratch on the 10 ball had nothing to do with any talking or distraction. So in the case game, Chang gets to the table twice, and scratches both times. There's a word for that.

Kids been a terror for awhile.
He needs to win this event, so then he can perhaps travel the whole world and hit the u.s. Sometimes. Without winning its unlikely he can ever make it here.

GL johann, you are no longer a hidden gem, thinks to these silly streams.

Joe, do you think Johann's ready for the US? i mean, he was a semifinalist on both 2012 and 2013 Japan Open. his break is awesome and he's fought all top Filipino players; beat Mika today and almost took the game against Chang today.

Lol. Johann can play with anyone in the world under tournament conditions. Sure there may be situations that come up rarely where more experience could come in handy, but he can play and beat anyone on any given day. And no, I'm not saying he can come here and beat Shane in a race to 100 on the TAR table.
