All Pool Players are Democrats ?

While it is pool related - you will receive much more support in NPR for your posts.

You have been to NPR....right?

I guess not since you asked this particular question.

No need to condemn the poor guy to the hellhole of NPR.

No, this is not an NPR thread.

So, in my opinion all or at least most pool players are Democrats.
Why???

I say this because there is no way the are Republicans. Most Republicans do not believe in handouts, welfare or things like that. But pool players in tournaments and gambling environments all ways want hand-outs. Whether it is form room owners or sponsors they are always begging for more money added to tournaments, discounts on table time and spots during games. A republican would never want this so therefore pool players are Dems.

Just my observation.
your right republicans would want players to pay buckets of hundreds for there entry fee then pay them buckets of pennies for winning.

Atleast the Republicans would pay something. The Democrats would take the entry fees, take a large cut, and give the rest to people who are less wealthy than yourself.

Well, this post gets my award for the stupidest post I have ever seen on AZB. Must be your contribution to the dumbing down of America. Geeesh.

Still waiting for your "facts" about the $15b in income taxes paid by Exxon.

I am a CPA, so I am into this kinda stuff:

They paid over $15billion in taxes to foreign countries, as a us corporation they get a tax credit against their federal income tax. They paid almost $8billion in U.S. taxes other than income taxes.

The NY Times (or any newspaper) is not a good source for this info. If you take the time to look, it's all in the financials that are required to be filed with the SEC as a public company.

That's about what I figured. Facts don't ever seem to concern the right.

But just to satisfy my curiosity, since you dismiss the income tax data offered by the New York Times--despite the fact the rest of the world recognizes it as among the very most responsible and accurate news outlets--I wonder if you would mind sharing your trusted news sources with me?

Just so you know, Exxon made 19b in profit last year (CNN)--the highest corporate earnings in the history of the world. And what did they pay in income taxes to the US Government (us!)? Well, it seems they got a 156m CREDIT. So, instead of paying no income taxes whatsoever on 19b dollars in net profit, they got a welfare check of 156m. Pretty cool, eh?

I know you don't have the guts nor wherewithal to actually debate that which you have no clue, but I really am interested in learning your "trusted" new sites.

Sorry dude, I could not respond to based on the comment in your last post..

"So, the New York Times, one of, if not the most credible news source in the USA, does not have the facts right"

Based on that above statement alone, I refuse to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man. I wouldn't wipe my arse with the NY Times. And if you believe everything you read in the papers, then Obama really is the Messiah.......

Take care, CRJ

As a CPA I read finanancial statements for that sorta info, as that is the actual source. Just about all newspapers are rags. I read em, but the most factual part is the sports page & the classifides.

hmmm

Dude, get a grip. Everyone knows, and even the NY Times does not run from the fact it is owned, run and written by liberals. This is not breaking news to anyone other than yourself. So, you believe them to completely fair and impartial in stories that affect areas of "other" type of politians or corporations that make a profit ??

They ONLY back liberal democrats. Heck, they even backed Mondale against Reagan. Geez !! Reagan wiped the floor with Mondale and won every single state except MN, which is Mondales' home state, and he almost lost it...it was a toss up. 49-1, was a royal drubbing. And that is the NYTmes right to back whoever they want to, but being a news organziation and being so blatantly hostile to businesses and conservatives certainly does not make them fair or credible in my opinion.

They have an agenda and they don't hide that fact. That is fine for my liberal friends, but not fine when it comes to a news organization where I need info, and not facts completely omitted because it might "hurt" their cause, and go against their own arguments. So, if you are taking their work for FACT, then there is really no chance to continue an argument here. And if Exxon did not pay any taxes, please, pretty please with sugar on it, tell me why your boy Obama did not change that tax loop hole?? His changed everything else (for the worse I might add) but wants to let Exxon skate on a enough dollars to run some third world countires.??

Seems very logical versus those who thinkg they did NOT pay a dime in taxes. I guess I really should throw the Brooklyn Bridge on Ebay one of these days and get paid off !!!

Because as you will know after doing some research and learning something the the Republicans (Backed by BIG BUSINESS) refused to let this happen to there friends.

That's strong, how do you match up against that?

I'm still waiting for you to provide your preferred source of news and information.

Your diatribe condemning the NY Times is pretty funny. Who are you quoting, Blimpo, Hannity or Beck? Maybe you should actually read the NY Times someday so you had some idea (your own idea!) what you are talking about.

whats so funny, that they are owned and operated by liberals ? Check They only employ like minded individuals to write for them? Check
They ONLY support democrat candidates for congress and the presidency? Check. Biased against any and all conservative causes? Check

Again, this is not a secret, this is not denied from the Times.

This biased all started in the 30's and has not changed. A reporter for the Times went to Stalin's Soviet Union, during the Ukrainian famine that killed millions, he told his readers that quote, "Any report of a famine in Russia is today an exaggeration or malignant propaganda. He called the Soviet Union a Utopia !!
A Utopia !!! LMAO

God forbid they reported the truth to tell the USA that the Soviet system was a failure and not working, and that capitalism works much better. No, instead of the truth, they had to "change" the facts to fit into their own little ideology of the the far left. I mean, pretty sad. Make your argument, but to lie in order to win the argument is just sad.

This has been going on for decades at that sad little paper. Yeah, it's popular and most likely making money, but they are selling papers to one segment of the population, the liberals.

If you have missed this much about the "famed" NY Times, you might just think about doing at least a little homework first, I mean, more than a NY Times reporter at least......

You can argue against any conservative causes, but using the NY Times as a basis is a lost cause.

I'm my local lodge president for the IAMAW. So you probably guess which party I back.

Hmmm

Oh really? When Obama controlled both the House and the Senate during his first two years, the Republicans stopped it ?? LMAO.

The GOP didn't stop much until they got control of the House back, 2 years after Obama took office. And finally could stop Obama from making any more mistakes. And the GOP just road rough shod over this rookie in negotations in regards to the debt ceiling. Obama got outplayed and badly.

The GOP can give Obama the 6 ball any day of the week. But I really didn't expect much from a Chicago politician who was part of the Democratic Machine that RUINED Illinois. And his main boys from Illinois are now either in jail or in custody. Now that is freaking funny stuff !!!

A scenario like this is definitely more like what I am talking about.

I want more and for free.

Also when matching up or begging for lower handicaps in tournaments. The weaker players always wants a hand-out via a spot because they didn't spend there time learning or how to play. And they feel like they deserve it. So basically there are expressing democratic tendancies.

You're so in the dark that it's downright sad. Republicans are the world champs when it comes to sucking on the government tit.

After reading this. I would have to say that those players you say are democrats should really just b classified as heartless. Thats how i feel.

Also, PERSONS work and pay, THINGS don't.

Add in all the employees taxes paid, too, for a more honest take on it.

Maybe both sides fudge the numbers in govt and in pool?
