All wood cue finish

What kind of finishes are used mostly for all wood sneaky petes. Some of mine may have a buttcap or joint rings but thats about as far as I go. Just wanted to see what kind yall are using these days.

Are you trying for a high gloss or a satin finish? Do you have a compressor, spray equipment and a place to do your finishing where you won't kill yourself, your family and pets? Oil looks nice on some rosewoods and bocote. Not so nice on purpleheart or cocobolo. I've heard some people praise the French polish in a bottle but I have never used it. Most of the time I just finish them like any other cue which is clear over epoxy.

Here is one made from East Indian Rosewood and Birdseye. The face is olivewood with purple and white veneers. Oil is perfect for this type of cue.

If it doesn't move I spray it with DU PONT CHROMACLEAR HC-7600S. THIS STUFF WILL KILL YOU...JER
