WOW!!! that's the wierdest bocote i've ever seen. is it like a burled bocote or something?

Hey bruin,

I found out that it is just, what he calls, crazy figured bocote. I've seen other pictures of his cues and he seems to find some of the best looking wood. He recently posted a picture of an 8 point tulipwood cue he made for another member which I thought was awesome. Here is a pic.

Yeah, looking at that pic again, it appears that the bumper is not installed yet. I think that small piece of wood at the end is the core.

I think you're right. It should be arriving shortly so I will definitely post pics of the finished product. Just a test drive left before it leaves the shop and then on the way

Hey JimBo,

I just heard from him today and the cue should be arriving tomorrow. He let me know that he will probably hold off on new orders until September because of the move but for now his information is:

Eric Crisp
3820 Resurrection Dr.
Anchorage, Ak 99504
Email - tanya_merriman@hotmail.com

OR:
Go to Easypooltutor.com and send a PM to qbilder

Didn't mean to be cryptic about his info, just didn't want to post it without his permission.

Regards,
Koop

Hey Paul,

Yeah, were at home next week. I just got the cue in the mail and it looks even better in person. I'm dying to hit with it but probably won't find the time until Monday. See you then if you are there too!

I was never in the market and don't need to contact him, I just thought he should get some credit for doing a nice job, what with him being new and all I thought any press would be good press, it's always better to turn down orders due to a move then to never get any. BTW How's the hit? (I'm guessing you read this after lunch) LOL

Also I think I like the name "CRISP CUE" at least I know I love Rice Krispie treats, "how's the hit?" CRISP!!!!!!! It's got a ring to it... Good luck with the cue and tell Mr. Crisp I wish him well.

I agree and that is why I contacted him about putting his info out there. Sorry to say I haven't had the chance to hit with it yet but lunch time hasn't arrived yet either.

Crisp is exactly how it hits. Very solid.
Of course I need to get used to it but it hits very solid.

It's a keeper.

I have a couple cues from Qbilder. They are called "Sugartree Custom Cues" and they hit a ton. I had the same experience as Koop with Qb. I was curious to see how well his cues played after reading several of his posts and PM's. After talking with him over the phone and recieving pictures as the cue was near completion I couldnt wait to get it. I would have to type a long time to explain how happy I am with the cue and there just isnt a definition for the way his cues play. I really recommend his cues to any player. I have played with more cues than I can name and this is one I will never let go. http://www.easypooltutor.com/modules/PhotoGallery/albums/album19/qb_whole_huntington.jpg

Whats more important and harder to come by then excellent shaft wood? He has an excellent source for old growth maple that really compliments his cues.

I have a few cues near completion... 2 sneakies, a conversion cue and a really nice curly koa and birdseye cue. I stumbled on koops thread here and thought qb deserved the props. Just one hell of a guy making one hell of a cue.

Thanks for jumping in and he definitely deserves props.
The more I shoot with it, the more I love it.
