I have both the flat laminated and newer pie cut. both play very well, I prefer them slightly over a 314-2 or OB 1.
Maybe they are about a more consistent hit rather than low deflection. He doesn't say on his web site.
His solid maple shafts play lights out too, IMO.

Construction? Awesome. Hit? Awesome. Deflection (cue ball squirt)? Not as low as any Predator. More in line with something like the Mezz WD700. Feels and plays like a regular shaft though. If you want a great hit and feel with a slight reduction in cueball squirt, this could be a nice option.
