Anyone buy the "Alternative Ivory" from Masecraft in inlay slabs or rod form?

Curious how it compares to what others are selling.

I have purchased quite a bit from Masecraft supply. I have tried both the rod for beauty rings around the wrap and the slab for inlays. It is a bit softer than juma, but looks a lot like traditional ivory, grain and all. I actually like to work with it, it glues well, polishes nice, takes sealer and clear well, and turns down nicely.

I would recommend it as an ivory substitute.p for looks. I haven't tried it out as a ferrule or anything, but did with a joint collar replacement out of it...it seemed durable with a good feel...replacing an implex thing.

I have bought ferrule, joint, and butt sizes from them. It looks great, but it seems to be a magnet for dirt, so be really careful before sealing/finish. I have dropped a butt and it had a buttcap of it and it shattered so it doesn't seem to be a very durable buttcap material like juma. Rings and such it does look great.

Hi,

I purchase two large sheets from them to use on inlays for cues to be shipped out of the US.

I am very happy with the look of the cues I have used this material on.

Thanks for replies! Probably going to order some turquoise, malachite, MOP and alt. Ivory from them.
