I was looking around Az and I saw this Post..
Thanks for saying that Ray..
I was trying to down load that photo and post it but, can't copy it from Flicker.
That Purpleheart cue was made by Ricardo "Rick" Dellera..
Rick made his name making Hawaiian KOA Jewlery Boxes and other Hawaiian
Wood Products..
He also was interested in pool and started making cues..
He was one of the 1st "Cuemakers" Hawaii had..
He was visited by Bill Schick, who help Rick with some cue construction tips and even flew to Sherevport, LA to visit Bill at his Shop..
Rick moved to North Carolina to retire with his wife Judy, and set-up his new Cue Machine Shop downstairs of their new home..
Rick passed away about 2 years after settling down there..
What a wonderful and brilliant guy he was, and very knowledgable about
Hawaiian Woods..
Thanks Ray,
Thanks all,
Sorry for going off subject..
Just wanted to tell you guys about Rick Dellera.
Alton
Ricardo's cue's came along at the end. The two that Kurt and Kelii used (twins) they hit really well. You remember, you made caps for Kelii when I bought caps for all of my friends. I'm glad you mentioned him. I'll find you a picture soon enough though.
Out of all the Pre-cnc stuff you have made and before you were doing high glossy finishes I liked Lorenz's and Kurt's caps the best. The splicing on the top looked really unreal. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wangr/2189919941/
